Campus Safety and Improvements
The Campus Safety and Improvements Committee focuses on ensuring student safety is top priority on campus. This committee works with MERPO and Physical Plant to investigate concerns regarding campus security, improvements, and beautification. As a committee, we try to improve campus through green initiatives and sustainability efforts. Other areas of focus for this committee include technological services, bookstore services, and postal services. This committee also acts as a liaison between students and Mercer Dining to communicate student feedback on dining services.

Heritage Life
The Heritage Life Committee upholds Mercer’s long-standing traditions and honors its rich heritage by planning, coordinating, and advertising events year round that are uniquely special to Mercer University. These events include Pilgrimage to Penfield, Christmas Tree Lighting, Founder’s Day, and We Are Mercer. Each event is designed to foster an appreciation for Mercer’s past, the continuation of its original mission and purpose, and inspiration for all future Mercerians to come.

Organizational Affairs
The Organizational Affairs Committee supports student organizations on campus by approving funding requests, performing yearly audits, processing the constitutions of new student organizations, supplying necessary resources, and representing student organizations in Senate proceedings. Any organization seeking funding from the Student Government Association can request Bear Grants, Conference/Lodging Funding, Special Funding, and Food Funding. Public Relations and Elections
The Public Relations and Elections Committee is charged with scheduling and officiating all campus elections. Moreover, it is tasked with maintaining the image of SGA on campus and to the student body. This committee also handles all marketing efforts regarding SGA. The goal of the Public Relations and Elections Committee is to ensure that all students can easily access information about student government, interact with their fellow senators, and bring any questions or concerns they may have to upper administration. Additionally, the Public Relations and Elections Committee focuses on external affairs and continues to facilitate Mercer's image in the Macon community.

Student Affairs
The Student Affairs Committee investigates academic policies and all issues affecting student life. This committee acts as a liaison to the Dean of Students, the Director of Campus Life, the Executive Vice President, the Provost, and the offices of deans of all undergraduate colleges. Merclusion, the newest subcommittee of Student Affairs, is dedicated to seeing a more diverse and inclusive campus at Mercer along with having an orientation towards equity, social justice, and community building.

Rules Committee
The Rules Committee shall be charged with reviewing all legislation prior to its introduction to the Senate and shall hold the power to make amendments to legislation for the following reasons: correcting grammatical and clerical errors and ensuring the germaneness and constitutionality of legislation. The Rules Committee shall be charged with creating the docket for Senate meetings and shall be charged with developing rules and procedures for the Senate body that shall ensure efficiency and fairness of its proceedings.
